259/4 achieved by South Africa against the West Indies at Centurion in 2023 is the highest ever successful run chase T20 internationals. Moreover, 517 runs scored in the game is the highest aggregate in the shortest format as far as internationals are concerned.

230/8 scored by England against South Africa in a Super 10 stage game of the World Cup 2016 at Mumbai is the 4th highest run chase in T20I history and the highest ever in the mega event. The same sides found a place yet again in the list as England once again successfully chased 226 against the Proteas, this time at Centurion, 4 years later.

Bulgaria, a non-Test-playing nation, is the only team to have made this list. They made to the list by chasing a mammoth total two times in a 4-match series against Serbia.

South Africa have been on the receiving end thrice. Sri Lanka and Serbia comes in next, having entered the list twice.
