Double centuries in ODI cricket are considered legendary as it is considered impossible once.

Sachin Tendulkar, India’s Master-batsman, was the first men’s cricketer to score a double hundred in ODI in a match against South Africa, which was then followed by Virender Sehwag’s 219 vs West Indies.

Overall, it is Belinda Clark, Australian women cricketer who scored the first-ever double century in the limited-overs cricket, way back in 1997, in Mumbai, against Denmark.

Rohit became the first person to score 2, and then followed by 3 double centuries in ODI cricket.

The Mumbai batter’s 264 against the Asian side took 173 balls, which is the record for most balls faced by a batter in an ODI innings.

Both the 200+ scores of Martin Guptill and Chris Gayle came up in the 2015 ICC ODI World Cup.

Glenn Maxwell is the first batsman in the history of ODI cricket to score a double century while chasing – therefore the highest individual score in ODI while batting second.

India, Pakistan, and England are among the top countries against which a batter has not scored an ODI double ton yet.
