Sangakkara was on a roll in the 2015 World Cup and scored 4 consecutive hundreds against Bangladesh, England, Australia, and Scotland. This is also the most consecutive centuries scored in World Cup history.

1: There is only 1 instance of a batter scoring 3 or more consecutive centuries across 2 different years. Pakistan’s Zaheer Abbas made 2 hundreds in December 1982, and his third ton came in January 1983. All 3 of them came against India in Pakistan, though there was a gap of 20 days between his second and third hundred.
