Key Insights

Mumbai Indians (MI) became the first IPL team to win 50 or more matches at any of the IPL venues. The Mumbai-based team ed the 50th victory on their home ground, the Wankhede Stadium, on April 7, 2024.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the only side to feature in the top 10 twice. CSK has won games in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, which is an away venue for them. The other sides to have 10 or more wins on away-from-home grounds are KKR, MI and RR.

CSK’s win/loss ratio of 2.217 at Chepauk is the best for an IPL team, having played at least 25 matches at that ground. The team with the lowest W/L ratio on this list is Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Barring the new teams, the Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, every other eight existing teams have played 50 or more games on their respective home grounds.
