1: Dennis Amiss became the first batter to score an ODI century on debut in 1972. He amassed 103 runs off 134 deliveries against Australia. With that, Amiss became the first batter to notch up the first-ever century in ODI cricket history.

80: Amir Jangoo holds the record for scoring the fastest century on debut in ODI cricket. The West Indies batter took 80 balls to bring up his hundred in style on his ODI debut.

114.6: Reeza Hendricks’ strike rate is the highest among the batters who scored a hundred on debut. 

150: Matthew Breetzke has accumulated the highest individual score on ODI debut. The South African opener scored 150 runs in 148 balls against New Zealand in 2025.

1: Andy Flower was the first player to hammer a century on debut for an associate team. Flower represented Zimbabwe, which had yet to become a full-member team in the ICC. He scored an unbeaten 115 against Sri Lanka in February 1992.
