Andre Russell has the highest strike rate in IPL history. The Caribbean all-rounder strikes above 170 with the bat.

13 more batters have career strike rates above 150 in the IPL, with only five of them being Indian batters.

If we stick to our criteria, then Nicholas Pooran has the highest strike rate for a single IPL team. He strikes around 180 for Lucknow Super Giants.

Glenn Maxwell is the only batter to have a strike rate of 150 or more for two IPL teams. He struck at 159.24 for 1000 runs for both teams.

RCB have four batters with a 150-plus strike rate in the IPL, the most for a team. Apart from Maxwell, AB de Villiers (158.63), Chris Gayle (152.72), and Rajat Patidar (154+) are the other batters.

Jake Fraser-McGurk’s strike rate of 234.04 is the highest in an IPL season (minimum 50 balls). He hammered 330 runs off 141 deliveries in nine outings in 2024.

For a single innings, Chris Morris claims the top spot (minimum: five balls and 30 runs). He struck at 422.22 in his 9-ball 38* for Delhi Daredevils against Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017.

Travis Head has the highest strike rate in powerplay overs (1-6) in the IPL (minimum: 250 balls and 500 runs). He strikes around 180 in the first six overs.

Likewise, AB de Villiers shines in the last four overs (17-20). He struck at 232.56 while aggregating 1421 runs from 611 balls in 75 innings.

In the middle overs phase (7-16), Sunil Narine sits at the top. He has a strike rate of around 177, having scored over 500 runs off 300-plus balls.
