Key Insights from Batters Dismissed on Nervous Nineties in IPL

KL Rahul and David Warner have the t-most scores in the 90s in the IPL. Both batters have six scores each.

Warner’s six scores of 90s have all come in wins for his teams, the most by a batter. Five of those knocks came in Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey, while one came for Delhi Capitals.

On the flip side, KL Rahul and Gayle have two 90s scores each in losses. What’s more fascinating is both of their knocks came for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).

Rahul has stayed unbeaten four times in the 90s in the IPL. This is again the most by a batter. Shikhar Dhawan is the other batter with four not-out scores in the 90s.

Three batters – Warner, Glenn Maxwell, and Ruturaj Gaikwad – have been given out three times each in the 90s, the most in the league.

KL Rahul is the only batter with multiple scores of 90s against two different franchises in the IPL. He has two 90s scores against Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

One of Gaikwad’s 90s scores involves a dismissal on 99. The batters who are dismissed just one run behind a century in IPL are as follows.
