Key Stats

The Indian top three are also placed in the top ten list of the overall run-scorers in cricket. Sachin Tendulkar tops the overall chart; he is also the only batsman to cross 30000 runs in international cricket. The master Indian batsman also tops the charts for the most number of centuries, fifties, and innings batted records.

Sachin also tops the ODI and Test formats’ run-scorers charts, whereas the T20I runs chart is led by both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli are in 6th and 7th positions on the overall chart. Dravid, rightly called the Wall, has faced the most balls in Test cricket history.

MS Dhoni, the former Indian captain, holds the record for the most runs as an Indian captain. He also ranks 2nd in the ODI list for the most scored Captains.

Among the current players, Virat and Rohit are the only two players in the top ten list. Shikhar Dhawan is the only other present-day cricketer with 10000+ runs for India. This Indian trio ruled the last decade of cricket batting records.

Virat is also the only player with a batting average of more than 50 on the list. In fact, no other Indian batsman with more than 500 International runs has his average above 50.
