830: Narayan Jagadeesan holds the record for scoring the most runs in a single Vijay Hazare Trophy season. The right-hand keeper-batter accumulated 830 runs for Tamil Nadu in the 2022/23 season.

277: In the same season, Jagadeesan racked up the highest individual score in List A cricket. He scored 277 runs off 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in Bengaluru on November 21, 2022, suring the previous highest of 268 by Surrey’s Ali Brown.

5: Jagadeesan also smashed the most consecutive hundreds in List A cricket that season. The Tamil Nadu batter scored five centuries in a row against Andhra (114*), Chhattisgarh (107), Goa (168), Haryana (128), and Arunachal (277).

2: Jagadeesan and Karun Nair are the only two batters who have smashed five or more centuries in a single VHT season. Nair imitated Jagadeesan’s feat in the 2024/25 season while playing for Vidarbha.

600: Three batters have scored 600 or more runs in two VHT seasons. Devdutt Padikkal (2019/20 and 2020/21) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (2021/22 and 2022/23) did in consecutive seasons, while Mayank Agarwal breached the barrier in 2017/18 and 2024/25.

7: Padikkal also smashed seven 50-plus scores in both seasons, making him the only batter to do so. Agarwal (2017/18) and Baba Aparajith (2019/20) also scored seven 50-plus knocks, which is t-most in a single VHT season.
